fire rain

There are currently several fires raging in southern California. From my house in Fullerton, ash from the distant fires has been falling. It's so thick in the air that it appears cloudy outisde.

There are various reports, but at least 10 people have been injured so far, 100 homes destroyed, 5,400 homes evacuated, and 2,500 acres burned. The fire is estimated to be 10% contained; not a friendly figure for people living close to the flames.

My prayers go out to anyone involved and their safety.
